Open Show Results 2015

Skye Terrier Club Open Show (2015) Results and Critique

Judge: Lynne Richardson (Talyot)

My thanks to the members and committee for inviting me to judge the open show, which I thoroughly enjoyed. My entry was good with few absentees from an entry of 40 dogs. With a few exceptions, all dogs were clean and well groomed; there is after all an element of the beauty show. Temperaments over all were good; I only found 3 with suspect temperaments. I felt that fronts were better than I expected although there is no room for complacency. I was troubled by the length of loin on some dogs and this needs to be watched.

My BIS was Curtis’ silver bitch Ch. Brakemill Briar Rose. My RBIS was Shuttleworth’s silver dog Whicheeta Celtic Keepsake ShCM and my Best Puppy was a stunning cream young lady Zvezdina’s Juger Edelweiss Mary Poppins who, when she is mature, will trouble the best.
