Championship Show 2019

I would like to thank the member for giving me the opportunity to judge the Club Championship Show and consider it a great honour. Unfortunately there was a number absentees which was disappointing. I would like to thank the volunteer stewards, the members of committee and all the other volunteers who helped to make the show a success.

MINOR PUPPY DOG 3 (2)

1st Nolan’s WHICHEETA WALK THE DINOSAUR – Silver puppy dog – mouth OK – dark eye – well set ears – good body shape – tail well set. A little bit off his feet today but could not be denied the class. Jacket OK for age.

PUPPY DOG 0

JUNIOR DOG 3 (2)

1st Miller’s FLANAGAN ENERGIZER AT FEORLIG (IMP SVK) – Cream dog with black points. I do hope his colour clears a little more. A very masculine head – good mouth and dark eye – neck adequate. Not holding his topline on the move – slightly shorter rib – tail carriage OK – moved well – quality jacket.

GRADUATE DOG 3

1st Sanderson’s ESGIA HIGHLAND LADDIE – Silver dog – black points – good head with well set ears – nicely fringed – good neck – good front and rear assembly. Correct height to length ratio – nice rib – short loin – tail well set – moved with drive – quality jacket.

2nd Shuttleworth’s WHICHEETA TOTAL ECLIPSE – Silver – nice set ears – dark eye – strong jaw – neck and topline sound. Unfortunately did not want to cooperate with his handler,.

3rd Hamilton’s BHARTAIRNIS SCOR

POST GRADUATE DOG 0

LIMIT DOG 5 (2)

1st Bamfiord’s WHICHEETA ONE FOR THE ROAD – Dark Silver – very attractive head piece – well set ears and good jaw – neck and shoulders very good – height to length ration very nice – good rear movement with correct tail set. Jacket in good order and moved with drive.

2nd Pringle’s ESGIA THE EXCISEMAN – Cream with black points. Lovely head piece – well feather ears – good bite – neck and shoulders sound – good rib and loin. Just didn’t have the length of winner – coat in good condition – moved freely.

3rd Herbert’s TWEEDSMUIR STARGAZER

OPEN DOG 5 (2)

1st Breeze’s CH LINUM CRANBERRY CRUSH AT SELENA – A true cream with excellent black points – well set ears – a classic head piece – adequate jaw – dark eye – long neck into good front assembly with good height to length ratio. The lowest dog in the show today – good rib and correct length of loin – tail set and rear movement excelled – jacket to die for – professionally turned out. Deservedly the Dog CC and BIS.

2nd Kendrick’s CH FRISCO KIAORA AT JERARO (IMP CZE) – Very dark silver – excellent head piece – very masculine male – good jaw – dark eye – nice neck – excellent front and rear – height and length ration was pipped by the winner. Moved with drive and again an excellently prepared dog with took the Res. Dog CC and Res. BIS – on reflection, lower to the ground than the bitches – well deserved.

3rd Large’s JUGER EIDELWEISS MICKEY MOUSE IS MADAZA (IMP EST)

VETERAN DOG 2

1ST Curtis’s CH BRAKEMILL BARNUM SHCH – Cream with dark points – very masculine head – dark eye and powerful jaw – adequate neck – tidy front – good length – rib and loin good – topline held – tail set low – rear movement OK. Nicely turned out – didn’t fit height to length ratio. Unfortunately seemed to be pulling one ear back.

2nd Parker’s GLORFINDEL DEACON BRODIE – Silver with black points – good strong head – sound frond and rear – topline held on move – good textured jacket but a little crisp and no buts.

VINTAGE DOG 1

1st SHUTTLEWORTH’S WHICHEETER CELTIC KEEPSAKE – Silver with black points – good masculine head – dentition OK for age – quite alert decent neck and shoulders – kept his topline on the move – at this age his rear is not as sound as his front – nice heavy coat of correct quality.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH 2 (1)

1st Large’s PARRIMA-ARIH INVALUABLE FASCINATION IS MADAZA (IMP RUS)
Cream with black points – extremely feminine – nice head piece – dark eye and good mouth – nice balanced outline for her age. Front and rear sound – topline held on the move and standing – quality jacket coming on nicely. Best Puppy in Show

PUPPY BITCH 1

1ST Wilson’s SKEABOST GAELIC AIR – Cream with black points – good head – body OK – handler not helping in any way making it very difficult to assess. Very level on the move but moved in a fashion – not in co-ordination with handler.

JUNIOR BITCH 1

1ST Herbert’s FINNSKY YVES – very dark silver – excellent head piece – so alert with good dark eye – strong jaw – head falling into a long neck – well laid shoulders – excelled in rib and loin – height to length ration near correct – jacket on nice quality – tail set carried low – moved with drive – just pipped by the CC winner but could not be denied the Res. Bitch CC.

GRADUATE BITCH 5 (2)

1ST Large’s PARRIMA-ARIH UNIVERSE OF MY FANTASY IS MADAZA (IMP RUS)
Sweet head – extremely feminine – very alert – a really dark eye – well draped furnishings – neck and front assembly good – topline and rear OK – tail a little gay – moved with drive – jacket starting to look the part with double undercoat.

2nd Robert’s’s GLORFINDEL EFFORT AT SUNABIL – Again very feminine head with lovely fringed ears – would like a little more neck. Front and rear assembly OK – a shade taller than the winner otherwise very little to separate them. Nicely presented with a quality jacket.

POST GRADUATE BITCH 5 (3)

1ST Pringle’s ESGIA FIRST AND FAIREST – Cream with black points – excellent head – dark eye – correct bite with very alert expression – gracefully fringed ears – front and rear exceptional – rib and loin ration very good with good rear assembly – tail kept low on the move. One of the lower to ground bitches here today. Carried herself well and took the Bitch CC and BOS.

2nd Dunlop’s KOMENTA ROSSI CINDERELLA – Silver with black points – good head and expression – all round outline very nice – shoulders, front and rear sound – height to length ration not as good as winner – slightly taller explaining placing. – nice jacket.

LIMIT BITCH 2 (1)

1st Shuttleworth’s PERRYLANDS CASSIDY AT WHICHEETA – Dark silver – good head piece – dark eye – good jaw – nice expression – neck and front sound – topline OK when standing. A little happy with her tail – making her handler work – good thick jacket.

OPEN BITCH 9 (3)

1st Curtis’s CH VERUMAMICUS AURORA OF BRAKEMILL – Cream with black points – strong muzzle – dark eye – somewhat heavier than I prefer – ear set OK – would like a little more length in the neck – shoulder placement OK – rib and loin satisfactory – height to length ration not balanced. Rear movement let her down but was strong enough to take the class. I personally find her lacking in femininity and a size bigger than I prefer.

2nd Bailey’s CELTICBRIDGE OCEAN BELLE AT MARJAYN – Cream with black points – in comparison to class winner I would have preferred this bitch but with reconsideration after secondary movement, this explains the placing. Extremely feminine head – long neck – nice shoulders and rear – topline held – jacket coming on – looking slightly immature to the winner.

3rd Miller’s FEORLIG ROMANTICA

VETERAN BITCH 1

1ST Curtis’s CH BRAKEMILL BRIAR ROSE – Silver with dark points – very feminine head – looking grey compared to when I previously gave her BOB. Still bouncing about but again today the lowness to ground compared to the males did not fulfil my expectations.

VINTAGE BITCH 3 (2)

1ST Grainger’s WHICHEETA CELTIC CONNECTION JW – Nice black – lovely head piece – mouth acceptable for age – good balanced head – nice dark eye – well placed ears – very alert – good neck – topline better on the move than standing – would have loved to have seen this bitch when she was younger. Jacket a credit to her owner.
